52pp, original boards in original, part printed, glassine dust-jacket. DJ slightly browned, chipped with some loss to spine and foot of front panel, but generally complete. Internally quite bright and clean. Later issue, with the address for the publisher to the foot of the last page indicating a date between 1914 and 1917. Frontispiece and nine full-page colour illustrations (as called for). Now housed in a velvet lined, cloth, drop back box, made by Temple Bookbinders, with the front cover of the book replicated on to the front cover of the box. Uncommon in original glassine dust-jacket. Linder pages 197-204 and 428, Quinby pages 71-74 (for the First edition)
