Three volumes complete - Volume One - viii, 395pp, [1]; Volume Two - viii, 408pp and Volume Three - viii, 404pp. Modern quarter calf and marbled paper over boards, smooth spines divided into six panels by gilt rules, morocco title label to second panel, volume number in gilt to fourth and date to foot. Externally very good. Internally some light browning and light soiling throughout, the first page of text in volume one has a small repair to gutter, lacks the publishers catalogue. The first English edition, translated by Lascelles Wraxall. Not in Sadleir, Wolff 3339, uncommon, only Cam and TCD on COPAC
