[5], vi-xi, [2], 2-371pp, [1]. Original crimson decorative cloth with gilt title and designs to spine and upper cover, a.e.g. Slightly rubbed to extremities, spine lightly faded, slightly cocked. Previous owners name to head of half title, otherwise quite bright and clean. With eight full page colour and thirty-five full page black and white illustrations by H.[enry] J.[ustice] Ford, (1860-1941), a friend of Burne-Jones and influenced by him (see Houfe, The Dictionary of 19th Century British Book Illustrators, page 140). Ford also designed the covers
